Brian Hall

Brian Hall was born in Lakewood, Dallas, Texas, graduated from Woodrow Wilson H.S. (’78) and went on to Richland College to study horticulture and art as well as other interests.  It was then I knew for sure, without one doubt, that science and art would be my calling!  And so, I pursued with passion and hard work to serve my community and learn more along the way.  I worked at the Lakewood Country Club (groundskeeper) and the City of University Park (landscaper, construction and irrigation).  During my 6 formal education years at Richland College, applying myself in horticulture and art, I would buddy with my classmates to Texas A&M, Sul Ross, Texas Nursery and Landscape Association, Eastfield Community College, various nurseries and other landscape companies to learn, compete, enjoy and express myself in nature.  The journey was good, and still is!

I’ve always enjoyed being outside exploring, building and making things work to their highest potential and my imagination.  Way back in the early 70’s I would maintain client’s properties and discover ways to improve their outdoor living environment.  I was grateful to be hired to do the work needed and have the best job in the world, installing gardens, maintaining them, mowing turfs, trimming shrubs, building patios, paths, sidewalks, trellises, playing and getting dirty… and being inspired for more.  Ahh life!

I could hardly believe my luck, getting paid to do what I love!  Regularly meeting new families, good people, their pets and glorious nature, all for the cause (and fun) of improving their homes and outside function & splendor, in the name of service and purpose.  Truly this is heaven!!

Imagination, experience, and creative expressions are a powerful combination toward making wonder happen.  I look forward to meeting with you soon!

It’s a good life,
Brian Hall
